another green smoothie, just in time for st. patty’s day!
and just as a warning, if you are not used to green smoothies, i would try this recipe with spinach instead of kale. it has a milder taste and blends down to a less-noticeable consistency. i happen to really like this recipe and the kale in it as i am reminded that i am getting in some of that sweet, sweet superfood and a boost of energy i need.
regardless of whether you want to enjoy this as a pre-party snack, a morning-after miracle or just as a fresh spring smoothie, this beverage is sure to satisfy.
kale & peach matcha smoothie
inspired by kale & chocolate
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
1 1/2 tsp matcha
1 tbsp honey
6-8 peach slices peach slices [i used canned]
handful of kale
1 cup milk [can substitute with almond, soy or coconut milk]
- add kale and milk together. blend [i use a hand blender].
- throw in the honey, peach slices and yogurt and blend to a creamy consistency.
- if desired cold, add in as much ice as desired, being careful to add slowly.
